Every year seven million companion animals enter animal shelters and are later euthanized. Here at Rock and Roll Saved My Soul, we want to help decrease that number. We believe every pet deserves a second chance. This anthology is a collection of stories about rescue animals, strays, and the animals that have saved us. All proceeds benefit Pet Partners. Together we can save lives and help animals everywhere get a second chance.
I have two stories in this anthology that releases today. One about my current kitty, Miri Billie Joe and one about my old companion who sadly crossed over the Rainbow Bridge a few years back, Cecilia (or Cici as we liked to call her).
Please pick up a copy to read their stories and the other wonderful stories of rescue animals and come by to FB later today for a special event with the authors of the anthology. I will be hosting from 7-8pm Central time and will be giving away some audio book copies of Cecilia’s Tale.

“Meow – my name’s Kitty. I’m a brown tabby.”
“And my name’s Susie. I’m a black and white cat. As you can see we are both very beautiful.”
“Up until recently we lived in a small apartment in the Lower East Side of Manhattan with Miri Katz and her omama, Celia.”
“Celia made us wonderful food – tender chicken, white fish and goulash stews. We were never hungry and certainly never ate any of that icky ‘cat food’.”
“Unfortunately Celia passed away and we were pushed out onto the street by a horrible woman in high heels and a fur jacket.”
“But as luck would have it we were taken in the next day by Miri’s neighbor and friend, Jenny. We still miss Miri of course, as does Jenny and wonder if she ever thinks about us.”
It’s here! Today’s the day that you can pick up your brand new copy of Argentum (P.A.W.S. 2) on Kindle or paperback.
This new edition also includes a teaser from Umbrae (P.A.W.S. 3) that is coming in March 2017.
Argentum is the threat that binds all magic …
The silver of Miri’s cat charm passed on through the generations.
The silver of Jessamyn’s scepter, the source of her illusions.
The silver of Quentin’s scrying bowl, forged by Merlin.
All intertwine in Argentum.
With Alistair gone a measure of peace returns to P.A.W.S., but Miri is tormented by nightmares. The silver charm that had recently hung around Alistair’s neck is now in Miri’s possession and seems to have taken on a life of its own. And then it mysteriously disappears.
Jessamyn seeks help from Quentin, who claims to have repented his past association with Alistair, but can he be trusted?
And what of Jenna? The young girl rescued from Alistair’s pack house holds a terrible secret. One that could determine the future of P.A.W.S.
The P.A.W.S. saga continues with Argentum!

It’s Black Cat Appreciation Day and I’ve always really appreciated black kitties. Growing up in London my mum always said black cats were lucky especially if they crossed your path, so when a pretty black kitty, all black with one white whisker, came to live with us, I guessed we were now the luckiest folk on the street.
We called her Snowy for that one white whisker and she was truly the sweetest cat. I spend many hours with her curled up on my lap not wanting to move as I didn’t want to disturb my purring furball.
When I created Miri’s cat form in P.A.W.S. I used Snowy as my model. So Miri when she’s feline is all black with one white whisker.
Give black cats a little love today (and everyday!) and if you share your life with a black kitty I’d love to see a picture in the comments.
Oh and Miri’s story, P.A.W.S. is on sale this week for just 99 cents/99p on Kindle.
