Introducing Kristen Hope Mazzola and Falling Back Together

Today on Paws4Thought I’m happy to help celebrate the release of Falling Back Together with interview of the author Kristen Hope Mazzola. Tell us a little bit about yourself, Kristen.

I am a twenty something living my dream! I love writing, wine, sushi and the ocean.  That pretty much sums up my life!

When did you first start writing?

When I was ten.  I started writing poetry and it slowly evolved.  It took year for me to start having confidence in the stories that I came up with, finally starting to write shorts about two years ago that I felt where good enough to start blogging. From that point on, those shorts blossomed into my Crashing Series and a few WIPs I have going right now.

Who are your favorite authors?

Oh my goodness! That is such a mean question. I don’t have just one favorite author, I love too many brilliant writers to answer that question. But the one that has touched my heart the most is Brittainy C. Cherry. She has been an amazing friend and a great source of support and inspiration to my writing career!

I really enjoyed Crashing Back Down. What inspired you to write it?

I don’t think it was inspiration, but more passion that pushed me to write Crashing Back Down. I fell in love with the characters and needed for them to have a voice and to reach an audience.

Tell us a little about Falling Back Together.

Falling Back Together kicks off right where the cliff hanger leaves the reader from Crashing Back Down. It is the ending to Mags and Walker’s story. I promise every question is answered and this one is not a cliff hanger. I loved every minute of this twisting road that Mags had to travel to find her peace in life.

So what’s next? What are you currently working on?

I am working on three pretty awesome projects. They are all too young in the development stage to say too much, but all of them I am super excited about!

What do you like to do to relax?

I love to read, obviously. But what really relaxes me is the water! I love being on the beach, out of my boyfriend’s flats boat, or fishing.

Tell us about the Marcie Mazzola Foundation.

The Marcie Mazzola Foundation is something that is very close to my heart. My cousin had a tragic, untimely death and instead of letting it defeat my family, my aunt and uncle decided to rise above the tragedy and make a difference in the lives of so many children. The mission of the Foundation is “to help better the lives of abused and at-risk children; and to increase awareness about the needs of children.” For more information, please go to the website: http://www.marciemazzolafoundation.org/

How can readers connect with you?

I am really easy to get a hold of! Just visit my website and send me a message: http://www.kristenhopemazzola.com/ I love hearing from readers!!

blurb

“I don’t know if it’s fate, coincidence, or my curse, but I’m still breathing, and my breaths are for you.”
Mags McManus is far from a normal woman in her mid twenties. Being a war widow, a business professional, and a brokenhearted train wreck only skims the surface of the layers of who Margret McManus truly is. Waking up in a hospital bed, alone and confused, Mags once again has to pick up the pieces of her shattered heart. With her best friends by her side, Mags slowly starts to learn the answers she so desperately longs for. But is everything going to continue to spiral out of control? Or is there a light at the end of this dark, twisting tunnel where all the broken pieces can finally fall back together?

I took fistfuls of his black, long-sleeved, cotton shirt, pulling him as close as I could get him.  I wrapped my legs around his waist and began to kiss as passionately and roughly as I ever had.  I was hungry to taste him again, to feel him again, to simply love him again.
Right then, everything melted away—the fact that we were in the middle of nowhere in a gas station, that I was supposed to hate his guts, that he had a Hyde side of him that was evil and tortured.  In that moment, we were simply us—desperately and madly us.
Walker slowly shoved my jacket from my shoulders and tossed it on the metal chair next to us.  Panting and gripping the hem of my shirt, he pulled away to look in my eyes. “Mags? Are you sure about this.”
I kissed him softly on the cheek. “Let’s just not think for little. Please.”
He nodded and pulled my hips hard into his, letting me feel how ready his body was for me.  I pulled his shirt up over his head, revealing all the gorgeous artwork that covered his chest, shoulders, and arms.  I traced my finger tips from the start of his wrist, following the flow of the inked lines until my fingers were stroking his rigid abs just over his belt buckle.  Walker’s breathing was heavy as he watched me take in the manly beauty before me. Slowly, I started to kiss from his collarbone to his jaw, finally finding his soft, desperate lips.
